Connect the travel trade. Automate the tax.
Cosmos links tour operators with hotels and travel agencies through a single connection — then turns every booking into the correct tax entries and files them with the right authority, whether you sell in Europe, Canada or the US. Sell more, reconcile less.
Two engines, one system
Distribution and compliance, finally in the same place
Most operators run one tool to move inventory and another to keep the books straight — then spend the year reconciling between them. Cosmos does both, so every transaction flows through connectivity and tax reporting without re-entry.
The connectivity layer
One integration replaces dozens of point-to-point links. Operators, hotels and agencies transact on a shared, real-time marketplace.
- Live hotel rates, availability and instant confirmation
- Contract, allotment and free-sale management
- Dynamic packaging — bundle stays, transfers and activities
- Agencies search, book and resell from a shared catalogue
The fiscal engine
Every booking becomes the accounting entries and tax data each authority expects — with the right rules applied for the region you're selling in.
- Region-aware tax logic: EU, Canada and US
- Uploads directly to the relevant tax authority
- Syncs with your accounting software — no manual export
- Audit-ready records for every transaction
One engine, every regime
Travel tax is different in every market. We handle each one.
There's no single global rule for taxing travel sales — the EU taxes your margin, Canada layers federal and provincial taxes on packages, and the US fragments across thousands of state and local jurisdictions. Cosmos applies the right treatment automatically. Pick your market:
The Tour Operators Margin Scheme
TOMS taxes your margin, not your turnover, and blocks input-VAT recovery on bought-in services. It's mandatory across the EU, applied differently in all 27 member states, and settled with a year-end adjustment that catches operators out.
Cosmos calculates the margin on every package as bookings happen, applies the right national treatment, and keeps the records an audit will ask for.
Files with
Tour-package tax, federal and provincial
When you buy and resell flights and rooms as a package, you're the supplier — so you charge and report GST/HST on the sale. Packages need their taxable and non-taxable portions calculated by percentage, and any change to a package can mean recalculating them.
On top of federal tax, BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba run their own PST and Quebec runs QST — separate registrations and filings. Cosmos calculates the package split, applies the right rate for the buyer's province, and files to each authority.
Files with
Nexus, thousands of jurisdictions, one filing flow
There's no federal sales tax — each state governs its own, and you must register, collect and file wherever you have nexus. After Wayfair, economic-nexus and marketplace-facilitator rules pulled far more sellers into scope, across thousands of state and local rate combinations that change constantly.
Cosmos tracks where you've triggered nexus, applies the correct combined rate by destination, handles marketplace-facilitator treatment, and files to each state.
Handles
The fiscal bridge
From booking to the tax authority — without the paperwork
Wherever the sale happens, the flow is the same. As bookings come in, the fiscal engine builds the required entries for that region, pushes them into your accounting system, and submits filings to the correct authority in their expected format.
Sell across borders — a Canadian operator packaging European hotels, or an EU operator selling into the US — and the engine applies each region's rules to the right transactions.
Who it's for

Operators, hotels and agencies each get the tools they need — connected to the same live inventory and the same clean books, in every market.
